It can be pretty difficult deciding where to eat in Gettysburg, there are so many restaurants. I have to say that you simply cannot go wrong with the comfortable atmosphere of Gettysburg Eddie's.
There is a bit of something for everyone. They have a wide menu, which features everything from soups, burgers, pasta, steaks, chicken, and more. There is even a "little leaguer's" menu for kids ten and under, how cute!
The restaurant has a very nostalgic feel. It is dedicated to the famous baseball Hall of Famer, Eddie Plank. There is various memorabilia from his successful and extensive career, all throughout the restaurant. The baseball fans in my family love it!
Gettysburg Eddie's has a "sports bar" feel to it, and features 7 large flat screen LCD televisions. The restaurant has the popular NTN Buzztime trivia game. This allows you to not only compete against others in the restaurant, but people across the whole country as well. This is a lot of fun to do, and gets to be addictive.
Gettysburg Eddie's is located at 217 Steinwehr Avenue, which is within walking distance of every hotel on Steinwehr Avenue, and only a ten minute drive from the outskirts of Gettysburg. There is plenty of parking behind the restaurant as well as across the street.
One last thing I'd like to share, which I think is really neat is that in March of 2009, they became the 5th restaurant in Pennsylvania to become a Certified Green Restaurant, by the Green Restaurant Association. Gettysburg Eddie's is dedicated to being an environmental-friendly restaurant.
